To Much To Soon To Late...

So Thanksgiving was great. I spent three days at my Moms feeling like a teen again. It was a much needed rest. I didn't have to work on black Friday or at PSC this whole time and only had minor hours at Jewel so I finally had time to relax and rest up. Next week won't be so brutal as it's going to be dead at Jewel so I have slight pockets of free ( Read more... )

I think the PS3 interface is pretty straightforward, but I don't know how it compares to an Xbox. Yes, there is very little bling, which i actually appreciate, but you can download themes, change the colors, and your background image in the settings to give it more flair if you want. There is also a lot of download-able content. How big is the HD on your PS3?

as for that Little big planet game, well I guess it's more appreciate as a work of art more over than and actual game. I played it, and just didn't get it. ?

the 360 screen is more of a welcome screen that automatically logs online tells you who's on and what's new. It use to be very simplistic and easy to use, though with newer features it looks like it needs another makeover. The PS3 just seems very stale and text heavy. It's a great OS for the PSP, I guess I just expected a little more.

I like little big planet, it reminds me or Katamari Damacy in the respect of "and now for something completely different" It's just a cute game and I think your just suppose to have fun playing instead of jamming to get to an end.

Don't forget to check out Uncharted 2. The interface is something I used to gripe about as well but just takes some getting used to. It's really not that bad just not as user friendly as 360 (although I don't think 360 is nearly as simple as it used to be prior to all the massive updates).
The one thing that still irks me about PS3 isn't the system but game developers themselves. I don't understand how some people can still charge full price for a game that looks like it would run on PS2 when you have gorgeous games like Uncharted and Metal Gear that truly push the system.
Only a few games take advantage of the PS3's power.

Uncharted 2 is on my list after we get an HDTV (hopefully soon) I've seen gameplay at the sony store at work and it looked very sweet. I know what your saying about developers. G4 made a plea to game companies to keep the current systems going until the developers catch up to the technology. These systems have been out for 5, 6 years and now we are getting the good stuff right as they are looking to their next gen systems. It took this long to get games like Uncharted and Final Fantasy XIII let the developers keep going and make better games. usually the first gen games are just dreadful anyway. lets just enjoy what we have now. The economy will thank us.
