My mom is doing okay. She had a lumpectomy and won't have to have any more surgery. The doctors removed all of the obviously cancerous bits. She will have to do chemotherapy and radiation though. Chemotherapy will probably start right after I get back from London next month. Radiation starts a month or so after that. I'm glad that we have a

Thank you. I'm glad that she's the one who brought it up. I'd been trying to figure out how to start the conversation. Talking about it was so much easier than I ever thought it would be.

Wow, your life sounds huge right now. I'm glad your mother is doing alright, and hoping her condition improve even more. :)

Taking about transition with parents is hard, but it's nice that she does seem confident about your judgement.
