As somebody who's been in many long-distance relationships, my advice to you both is to live your lives to the max in your own cities, and not spend too much time pining over each other. It's really easy to fall into a depression and think that everything would be all right if only you were together again. I mean this in a positive way: instead of talking every night repeating "I miss you I miss you I hate this situation", talk every couple of days and tell stories about all the awesome things you've been doing.

You two have such a beautiful (if disgustingly cute) relationship and I want so dearly to see it continue. Stay optimistic, have fun, make friends, go on bike rides! You can't speed up this period so make the best of it.
