good luck with your presentation!

i would love to work at harper collins--any publishing place will do. i know it is what i would love to do for a long time... but it is such a difficult decision to make: work or relationship.

i don't know, i feel really lost.

Oh my god I just typed a huge answer and it got blanked out - I hate LJ sometimes.

Your situation is rather awful :( - I have wondered what I would do if Matty had to leave the country for example and thought I'd still go with him and try and find work with a paper or magazine. But it depends.

Perhaps if you worked for a publishing house for a year or two you could then go down other avenues like working from home or commuting just a coupel of days a week or something? Would anything like that be possible? Would Jason ever consider staying in NY so YOU could do what you wanted?

I think most places here get to do as the french do and 'faire le pont' ie 'Make the bridge' when pub hols are on a tues or thursday and they take the inbetween day off as well - I think the logic of it is that it's much less productive to have people come in from one weekend, have the next day off and then come in again... harder to adjust and all that so they might as well come in after a long weekend and get all their adjustment over with.

Or it just could be nice of them :)

We called them bridges in Spain too!

And yes Sugendran, I do have Monday off as well as Tuesday, but due to taking it off.
