Can someone find a way to make going to synagogue less like going to the DMV? It's like I'm watching a millenia-old tradition die in front of me, and it's a bummer.

for the past two years, i've sat alone with my synagogue-issued book of prayer and gone through the silent meditation alone.

other than shaking random old people's hands and my rabbi's wonderful voice, i'm not really missing much.
