Hi! We've never met, and I hope this post doesn't qualify as spam to you. If it does, I apologize.
I'm writing to invite you to join tonystanza, an invitation-only advanced poetry workshop I'm starting specifically for in-it-for-life, published or otherwise demonstratedly dedicated poets
( ... )
Apparently I missed this, sorry to leave you hanging. quiet_flame directed me back here, and also said that she was impressed by what she'd read of your work, which is a compliment I take seriously. On that recommendation, I'm going to freind both of your journals.
My only hesitation in joining the community is that I haven't been as devoted an LJ-er lately as I have in past years. I keep finding myself making promises to be more active that I don't end up keeping. This new community sounds like the best thing I've heard of -- maybe ever on LJ -- so if it's alright, I'm going to join, but do feel free to slap me around or kick me out if you find that I'm too delinquent. I won't take it personally; I always end up feeling guilty.
Anyway, thanks for inviting me. Of the people I'm familiar with, I'm happy about your selections, and I'm also happy to see a lot of names I'm not familiar with. Should be interesting.
Fantastic. Don't worry about negligence. I expect that people will probably go through phases of posting and not posting, and some people will be extremely sporadic. Really the only things I'd boot anyone for are advertising, negative & unproductive criticism, or possibly is a member had critiqued 30 poems, but never posted one of his/her own.
