How did the ancients see starlight, before smog, before light pollution? It's hard to imagine a night sky burning so violently. Venus and Jupiter and Mars, once couched upon spherical thrones and worshiped as gods for no weak reason, now crawl across the sky in monotonous routine, gazed upon only when somebody chances by Jack Horkheimer on PBS.
Time time time, never enough of it. Too much spent on computers, too much spent walking around doing shit-all. Too much time spent taking multiple showers a day. My only method of relaxation is being submersed in steaming water

I'm mostly confident everybody hates me. Some people hated me from the start, some took years to finally see the light, but they all eventually end up arriving at the same conclusion.
If it weren't for the Indian blood in my veins, I'd grow a beard thick and long, like Ernest Hemingway. I would wear it around the streets, scowling and scaring little children. Nobody would ask me for change and nobody would treat me like a little boy.
My history teacher discussed the Untouchables of India the other day. She mentioned how important touch is to being a healthy human being. Kissing, hugging, holding hands, even a pat on the back or just a handshake go a long way in the everyday struggle to maintain some form of self worth.
Thinking of all those people over the years, all across the country. I feel like I've abandoned them to their fates. Do the dead feel this way? The Ancients died, the world moved on, but they still rest in their hidden tombs wondering how things might've been different if they had just a few more years.
