Ah, but don't forget the winks, Hans, and the playful banter. ;-)

Hey wait a minute. ender117 September 10 2006, 05:53:04 UTC
Since when does Timothy actually know what's going on? There is definitely a difference between THINKING you know what's going on, and actually knowing.

But I guess college can change a person. :p

Dear Son,

Well, the folks in charge of Orientation certainly have you pegged. I predict that if Zach were to attend UD and if he were to be an Orientation Leader, he would also receive the very same award.

Please give Hans my congratulations. He must be a very polite young man, for that is how to win a girl's heart. Perhaps you should take notes while you are watching him interact with the girls. Study his replies and his affirmations. Note well the little thoughtful things he does and says. Then practice by writing out polite things to say in given situations. Even if you are never able to match Hans, certainly if you work on it, you could hopefully become at least as adept in courtship as Mr. Collins. Before you scoff, remember he secured for himself a very fine wife in Charlotte.

Just some motherly advice. I only wish the best for you.

Love,
Mom

Yes, I would receive the very same award, plus all the other orientation awards out there. I would have several 3 ring binders full of them. :P

Hey Zach,
You might not get the award for "the most humble fellow" ;)
