Ed was talking to Harold. Saying things like “This seems like a job he is qualified for.”, “Find out who we need to contact I will send his resume and we can go from there.” And “I want him to do well and he should make more money.” Now I wonder if I am the unnamed He/His/Him. The only other persons I can think of who my father could be talking

I would ask, because I would rather know for sure so I can prepare for bad news. On the other hand, I wouldn't trust Ed to tell the truth, or to not change his mind upon the asking. >.>;
