Man, don’t you hate those blogs that have degenerated to nothing but embedded videos and meaningless online quizzes? I think those blogs are devoid of personality. I can search youtube myself thank you. Unless you made or are in the video I don’t think it has any business being in your blog

I've mostly stopped linking memes.
For the large part though, LJ* has just become a place for the occasional pandering, and reading others thoughts. In my early journal posts, I found a lot of self-introspection to post, and it was more of a personal thing.
Technology and Society change things though. I will never be so forthcoming in my online journals ever again, and I'll probably soon go back and either lock or delete my old entries. Things are too transparent these days, and farming social networking groups for personal information, or for employers to check on their employees is too common.
*: I have a facebook, and don't post anything in it. Other Social Networking Diseases I don't even participate in.
