There is a warrant out for my arrest. My options are pay $1000.00 or go to jail. I was told by Gloria at the city of Euless that the warrant is going to show on any pre job check done on me. So the flurry of job applications I sent out to Wal-Mart and the last dyeing ember of hope resume I sent to [Airline] are unlikely to produce anything before

Usually they just check your county records, not a thousand city records, unless times have changed. You may also be able to work out a payment plan with them, if you ask very nicely.

Have you applied for unemployment benefits?

And please tell me you're not going to work your plan? You'd be missed.

I think you have talent to preserve. I think you have love to give and adventures to have and a future before you - and I totally understand that money problems are a very real and serious block to being able to see that future. But I know a lot of people who attempted suicide for the same reasons and failed, and were grateful once the outlook had seriously changed. Honestly, I respect a person's choice of suicide if their quality of life is seriously impaired, permanently. But if this is a situation where one thing falling into place (like your mom giving you money or getting the job) would change your mind, that's a pretty big signal that a year from now you may look back and be glad you didn't.
