True Texas Heroes
The two man crew pulled up to our driveway around 2 am early Sunday morning, lighting up our homes with the bright white light of their truck-mounted spotlights.
They stopped for just a moment to review the situation and were soon lugging tools and supplies into our neighbor's back yard where the broken power line was. In a flash one of them was up the pole in the middle of the night restoring our power while his partner worked the lights and lifted him supplies from 30 feet below! By 3am our power was restored after 15 days and 30 minutes since Ike took it out.
My hat is off to all of you that worked day and night to restore electricity throughout our great cities. You are Texas' True Heroes in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.
