Illegal Immigration

For a while, I have been against any sort of immigration policy that gave amnesty to illegals who were already in the country. To deal with your last point first, I totally agree- I would never vote for Huckabee. Lets just go ahead and add McCain to that list also. I would vote for all of the other Republican nominees (including Ron Paul, believe it or not). The top of my list right now though is Romney and Guiliani. I liked Thompson too but he ran such a half-ass campaign it was getting frustrating. What's your beef with McCain? I agree with everything you said though, I didn't put enough emphasis on the fact that criminals need to be removed. Another issue with getting illegals out are these mayors and other leaders who provide harbor to illegal aliens, that's part of what I was talking about when I said it would be impossible to come to a consensus on the issue especially with the useless congress we have in place now. I was reading over Bush's Comprehensive Immigration Reform and I actually agree with a lot of it.
