While I drive through the area fairly regularly (no pun intended), I have never before noticed this art gallery with a scatological moniker on Gough Street near Market. I am intrigued yet understandably wary.
Well, this being the land of kinky nastiness, of course it crossed-my-mind that it might possibly be an establishment literally catering to the brown-hanky crowd.
I think that is the uniform reaction to such things. It is San Francisco after all. I am sure the restaurant next door is thrilled.
I looked the place-up online and really like the kitschy art they are offering right now. Actually, I wouldn't mind owning some of it and like it more than anything I have seen in recent years. Particularly the Devil/Angel "Spin-and Sin/Repent-o-rama" piece with the wheel-of-fortune and the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde flip-over-face.
I used to work at the skateboard magazine with John Trippe, the guy who owns this gallery.
Fecal Face started out several years ago as sort of a journal/'zine of John's that he talked about the independent/unknown artists in the Bay Area and it then turned into a website and things have just sky rocketed from there. His website in internationally known in lowbrow are circles and I'm glad to see things are working for him.
PS He just picked the name because it sounded funny.

Though I know at least one guy who'd line right up for that -_-

Guess you really can't judge a shop by it's name. Especially in Saint Frank.

That said I would give it an 8.5. Good job!

From the standpoint of piquing interest it's certainly an attention-grabbing name. I got a chuckle out of it and appreciate the humor.
