Fin de año

Until I got my grades, I was too apprehensive to do any posting here, and in the week since I've been trying to pull my spirits back up. Maybe I'll wax on about the semester and its consequences in the next couple days. I was watching "The Last Waltz" too, also while cooking a late dinner, (shown 10pm until midnight here). And trying not to give in to my grief over those I lost this year, how could we acknowledge the year end marker without mourning those who cast off their mortal coil.

I heard a blurb today on NPR from a Buddhist Monk, his comment on the Tsunami tragedy.

"All things must pass."

Of course I thought of the song, and the context of the benefit concert and album; 100,000 people dying from hunger in Bangladesh 30 years ago.

This semesters grades, their importance, and even the memory of them will also pass. Just keep your perspective, value and cherish those that are here now and what they mean to you.
