It's frightening how well connected some of us are after 10 years... (dear god, it's 10 years this August that SBO closed.)

I've got a similar story. A buddy of mine, Nathan, got married a couple of months back. I was sitting up at the head table making small talk with his sister (we were seated next to each other as we were both in the wedding party) and she brought up this coworker of her's that occasionally takes time off to do stunt work. She then proceeds to mention that said coworker sent them a video of her tackling a guy through a class window at a workshop. I then asked her "This coworker of yours wouldn't happen to be Adm ChamCham?" (Well I used ChamCham's real name, but you get the point.) Turns out it was her.

Only further made interesting that I took a stage combat class a couple of years ago where ChamCham was one of the Teaching Assistants.

Did you hear that? It's the world getting a little smaller.

I had a meeting with the fates and they think it's time you had a good cup of something not entirely unlike tea.

minneapolis is just one big small town.

with close connections with both boston and san francisco.

it's eerily how closely connected my circles are..

you'd think the punk, indie, geek, and bike circles across 3 different big cities would be big enough it's not full of the same people who know the same people.. but nononononono... that's so not true.

when i moved to town the first time for a consulting job, I was less than 3 degrees (sexually) seperated from 2 out of 4 of the other consultants that worked at the firm (total 5 people!). And those 2 are of approximately my age. creepy.

It's a damn small crazy world. Kate doesn't know any of the SBO folks by their real names, only by their SBO names. It's only right.

Speaking of crazy, a few years ago I took a course at a Inver Hills Community College. Who should be in the class but Meshuggah's sister!

So, should we have a 10 year reunion, or just wait for the 15?

And I'm just betting that José's sitting in a corner, nursing a Coke with no ice, muttering to himself over and over in that Cuban accent of his...

"Oh my Gawd, what have I done..."

Just remember, T, that we all loved working under you, and enjoyed the occassional screw, as bad as it was.
