Last night the Kilmores as a quasi-team event went to Bills Gun Shop in Robbinsdale to shoot handguns at a gun range. The back story is that Scary Moon Zombie just started working at Bill's and there's a new trainer there (they do gun safety/training classes there too) who offered a handgun safety class to all of us for free so he could get some

As much as I am against anyone requiring anything from me, particularly the government, I sometimes wish there was mandatory gun safety classes for every teen in a public school. Pretty soon we'd have a nation full of people--nearly every one has been trained in the use and safety and has fired a weapon.

I'm willing to bet gun related accidents and crime would drop.

Still, the only reason I've ever had a gun in my hands was to train to use it. I've never even hunted. I only know how to shoot plastic people, and I'm planning on keeping it that way.

So, sign me up if target dummies attack the Earth. I'll be all up on that job. I'll leave the people shooting to someone else.
