So now begins the adjustment to getting cozy being a 5th wheel in the derby world. Fuckballs. I always felt sympathy for those doing just that - figuring out how to stay engaged with derby, one's team(s), and the league - while no longer being athletically of use

Ugh, just reading this is giving me flashbacks to the weeks immediately following me blowing out my knee in rugby.

Sadly, I don't think I was prepared/ aware of how big of a change it was going to be in my life. It lead to some nasty depression and all that fun stuff.
