Boise: Land' O' Fun

Anyone going to NIN in Boise? Anyone going that wants to get together while there? We'll be staying at the Shilo Inn Riverside Sunday night. I'm so excited for this show. I've been a BIG fan of NIN since their inception, but have never seen them. Every opportunity has whizzed by. For them to be playing with Bauhaus is exceptional luck. That was one ( Read more... )

Talk to Sara. Her sister(s) live in Boise and we've considered moving there. I don't know that it's less exciting than SLC. You'll just want to find the right places to be. ;) (Though, this might all just be a big tease on my part. 'Cause I don't know if Sara OR her sisters would be able to tell you where said "place" is. But I'm sure someone could.)

Have fun up there. I'm sure the show will be great. And vacations (even if they are short) are always nice.

I already talked to her. We made reservations yesterday to stay in Preston until Sunday. They have natural hot pools etc. AND A WATERSLIDE! So we'll make the best of Idaho :) Maybe we'll bring you back a potato for your new place ;) Good luck moving, and I'll be at your old place on Tues afternoon to help clean. Remind Sara will you? I'm bringing the Dyson and magic erasers :D

Cool! Have fun!

(Oh, and I talked to Dave, finally. It was a good conversation and I'm hip to the square now. Things are still a few weeks out, it seems. Maybe more... but at least now I'm (more) in the loop. Or something.)

Hmm... Saw NIN twice... Once when they were SUPPOSED to play with Marilyn Manson (interjecting conservative swine and their fake values!), and once when they played with APC. (First show sucked, had rotten seating and the sound was aweful at delta, second show was decent, had all access passes and got WASTED before going)

suggested listening:
Imbue: ritual in bloom.

Sounds a bit like Reznor singing for a less digitally processed/produced band.

(FAR more guitar/bass emphasis, has synth, but it generally takes a backseat to the stringed instruments... clearly has an actual drummer)

Cool, do you guys have any plans? We'll be in Preston ID, until Sunday morning. We're staying in Boise Sunday night. Maybe we can have hangover pancakes in the morning together :)
