If it makes you feel any better - my 20s sucked and my 30s have been the BEST! I wish you the best years of your life this decade...

*SUPER_GIANORMOUS_HUG* I love you and wish desperately that I could be with you today.

May the light of a candle pierce the darkness.

Ok my favorite holidays are birthdays, other people's, my own, everyone's birthday, well, im not fond of Jesus' birthday, but that's because i don't know him all that well. i dont run with his pack. so, that being said, i think it sucks that i cant celebrate your birthday in your physical presence. when are you coming back? tomorrow? whew, good, because i miss you terribly.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And a big hug. I'm sorry you are feeling so down. To add another mantra to your list of mantras- "This too shall pass". I said it all the time for the rough patches-when I was terribly sick, during the first trimester, etc. It always helped. Oh, and of course, "No one expects the Spanish Inquisition".

Sometimes Birthdays can be rough. I have a positive mental block about my own birthday. I always think that I am a year older than I really am. I thought I was 30 for a whole year before I actually turned 30-I do this every year. It's actually great since for my birthday every year I get-an extra year! My bestfriend always calls with how old I really am, every year, and I am very excited and then for some reason, I always add an extra year when I conceptualize it and start telling people I am a year older. I guess being a dimwit has some major advantages!

I like that mantra. It's one of my general philosophies on life, too. Still, it's difficult to cling to this time around, mostly because of having to repeat it over and over for soooo looong...

Thanks for the Monty Python chuckle, too! :D

Small comfort, I know, to hear that others have survived and so will you.

Just remember, never confuse having a CAREER with having a LIFE.

Hugs!!

Amen to that! Wish I'd realized it years ago...

Thanks for the comfort and the hugs!
