But I got this feeling that, if we all are going to become asexual, it will be Hollywood's fault. Think about it- what is Hollywood peddling right now as "the ideal female"? Skinny to the point of starving, flat chested women-things. What about the ideal Hollywood man? Bodies of eleven year old girls and faces like shaved rats.
They took the boobs off women and the beards off men, and have gone out of their way to make them as similar as possible. I never considered androgeny to be attractive, but apparently I am wrong by their standards.
If anything leads to producing asexually, it will be Hollywood.

sadly, we wont live long enough to see this evolutionary process get carried out but somewhere deep in my bones i have a feeling that it is possible in humans.

while we probably want the biodiversity afforded by two mates, there is a lot to be desired in the ideal outcome of this thoughtjourney. Physically, if things worked out, it would be advantageous to have our junk on the inside AND not have to bleed every so often...but a major thing that this points to that's relevant in our lifetimes is psychological androgynes, referring to the occult blinds as well...a fully balanced, 360deg. personality representing the species would be equally in touch with the aggressor male and the intuitive female, with the capacity/self-knowledge to tune in to those emotions/thought-patterns that are most appropriate at the moment.
