I have to say that I looked at that thingy where you take the first sentence of the first entry of each month... and it was incredibly depressing.  So I decided not to share it.

My life is so much better this year.  So, so much better.

Hi! Congrats on the exams, Merry Christmas and thank you for the card! So, are you officially halfway through Medical school, or am I confused about how long it takes? In either case, have a wonderful break because you deserve one.

P.S. The other day we were driving through NJ (picking up my sister from her school in PA) and we had to stop at a gas station. My mom didn't believe me that it was illegal to pump gas, and because there are virtually no full-service stations in our neck of the woods, the whole thing was really awkward ("What's that guy doing? Are we supposed to get out? Why is he going to your window?") and I pictured you and Robert laughing at us.
