I saw that and I got so confused.  I thought the military, and especially the Marines screened mental health a little bit better.  I think this indicates that there must be a pretty big need for soldiers if they let someone crazy enough to do that into

They try to screen, ...and the marines try to break you early on so they weed out the crazies... but there will always be people who slip through, or who only show psychosis after years.

I DO know that you don't shame the Marines with impunity. That guy is going to wish he'd thrown himself off the cliff.
