I write a weekly opinion column for San Diego State University's Daily Aztec.

This week's column: War in Iraq Neccesary

I helped a flower grow today
I woke the slumbering crowd
I fell upon an old Church Pew
I heard Earth sing out loud
Today I helped an Oak stand tall
Became a rabbit his home
Today I let the church stand firm
I felt the Waters flow
Today I let the grasses drink
I bathed a tiny Bird
I then baptized a helpless child,
And all without a word.

I'm taking a fiction writing workshop at school (San Diego State University). This is my first submission. I'm having it workshopped tommorrow (basically, a class of 25 students sits around, reads my work ... tells me what work, what sucks).
