because i came after christ. which, you know, seems cool.
1. total number of books owned:
i'm gonna say about 200+ in the attic, 175 in easy reach, 5 or 6 lent out, and around a dozen cookbooks. so, i guess, 400.
2. last book bought was swann's way by marcel proust.
3. the last book i read all the way through was extremely loud and incredibly close by jonathon safran foer. i am currently in the middle of this side of paradise by f. scott fitzgerald, swann's way (or rather, swann in love), and i just started the autobiography of alice b. toklas by gertrude stein this morning. yes, i realize i have book a.d.d.
4. five (only five?!) books that mean alot to me:
the egypt game by zilpha keatley snyder
a farewell to arms by ernest hemingway
a moveable feast by ernest hemingway
the dining room by a.r. gurney (that's a play. so what.)
the death of ivan ilyich by leo tolstoy
5. i'd like to see ernest hemingway's list, my conwest professor's, gordon farrell's, joe v.'s, sam's, sushi's, larke's, chris's ... any and all of my friends' basically. also that little kid who played the christmas goose in the cell phone commercial. if he can read.
