On Saturday I have to go out and show some houses for at least 3 hours.Sooooo,it's either Mike and Max are coming with me OR I have to use a breast pump for the first time.Here are some questions for breastfeeding moms

What i would do is nurse him right before i leave and nurse him as soon as you are finished showing the house.
He might not take the bottle, since he never had it, but then he might. You can try and pump tonight and have Mike give him the bottle.
Also, you should leave the room, while Mike tries and gives him the bottle. Babies can smells their mommies 100 feet away!

i am afraid that he will wake up hungry while i am away.i feed him on demand,so he doesn't have a set schedule.plus the town i am going to is about an hour away without traffic.i should try to pump.when is the best time?

I would pump tonight and give him a bottle tomorrow. Just to see how he takes it. Or pump even tomorrow.

Try pumping now, and pump before you nurse max. Max will still get his milk since a pump doesnt pump/suck like a baby.

You can start using a pump whenever, its safe no matter when. Them ore milk that leaves your body, the more you will make.

The only whing is max might not take the bottle since he has not had one or even a soother. Felicity used a soother and when i tried her with a little bratmilk in a bottle she refused at 3 months. Some babies have nipple confusion and then some love the bottle and prefere it over the breast so some mums are worried about that factor since the baby does not need to work hard for the milk at all with the bottle.

Def have mike give him the bottle, with you not in the room. Max, like sonnenflower said, will know you are near and will want his momma, rather than a bottle.

Morning time is best to pump too, i never pumped much but that is what i have read.

Nurse max moments before you leave to show the houses.
