Which one, the pregnancy one or the one about being married to 3 guys? I think the first one is awkward because, to me, pregnancy is about creating another little life that's independent of you and it's not all about your relationship.
The second one is grammatically awkward and is phrased really oddly. To me, the really weird thing is that she has love last on her list and leads with 'take care of' and 'look out for' (which are basically the same thing, yeah?) which sounds really drudgy and not exactly ... romantic.
For some reason, I'm having problem loading images today. *mourns lost Hanson secret*
(which is not as funny and true as the great bit where her boss sarcastically says to her that it must be nice always knowing that you're the smartest person in the room and she, looking stricken, says no. It's awful.)
I LOVE THAT SCENE! I think of that one a lot in fandom. ;D
Hey, wouldn't it be great if being lonely and desperate made us MORE attractive?
How are things going in blissful post-thesis land?
Great, except that it's not post-thesis - I have to hand in my revisions pretty soon, so I'm still sort of in hell.
I can send you the image, if you like. It's not earth shattering, just quietly amusing.
I love how Holly Hunter is so serious and upset in that moment - where her boss says something about her always being right and she gives this determined, tight little nod like she can't stop herself from agreeing ...
I just watched the movie again about a motnh ago and loved Albert Brooks - I always remembered the "I can sing while I read" part being so funny, and the little ball of fuzzy red lint, but I'd forgotten how great he was in the rest of the film. Like when he's sweating furiously as he anchors the news. "Anchoring the news. Gonna anchor it."
I think she seems pretty straight edge so I'd imagine that nothing inspired this but living on a cramped tour bus for a few months. And Kate means being in a band with 3 brothers/guys feels like marrying all of them, and the weird thing is that the lads and Taylor's wife have all said the same thing in interviews (pre-Kate, of course, but about Natalie). So I don't know if she's just recycling Natalie's words or if there's something about being married to a Hanson because I have never, EVER heard anyone in another band have this kind of perspective on romance.
