Title: Passenger Seat Characters: Denmark and Norway Rating: PG Warnings: Not much. Norway internal monologue. Notes: Yuu’s Ficmas gift! Summary: A drive has become tradition, and Norway wants to know why.
Their dialogue exchange was so cute and so them and I ended up laughing quite a bit. These two are just so ridiculous.
The atmosphere is lovely here. stood in the light snow and took a deep breath, enjoying how the crisp air nearly seared his lungs on the way down - yes, that's how it is, exactly.
And you write an excellent grumpy Norway, by the by.
Ah this was so nice! The familiar yet teasing atmosphere in the car was great and a tradition that nobody knows why they are pursuing yet always end up doing is a strangely domestic and generally lovely idea.
I was talking about how cute this story was with my friends, so I figured I should probably pass that along to you! It's cute! I love the dialects, and the non-sentimentality of it all, and the lack of examining of feelings. And how Denmark is kind of smart-ish but still very much his canon self!
My two favorite lines:
He wouldn’t be pissing on a Swedish roadside otherwise. Those years were long gone.
Oh, so you used to, Norway…?
He tried to shake Denmark awake, got no response for that action - he thought that perhaps Denmark might want to smoke, or get mauled by a bear, or whatever havoc Danes caused when let loose into the wild - but the idiot kept snoring, and he had to piss.
Ffff I typed this once and it was just flaily keysmash, so Take 2:
Oh wow, thanks a lot for such an in-depth comment, ahhh it's nice to know exactly what people like... especially with the accents, because those either work, or they don't, no real middle ground there.
Haha well, Norway's pretty :| but I could totally see him passive-agressively pissing on a Swedish roadside.
Hey, a guy's gotta do something to kill time during Sweden-Norway, hahaha.
And yes, I love the accents! There were a couple of places where it was a little inconsistent (askin' and then askin a second later), and in places Norway's was a bit incomprehensible, but I really, seriously, love accents in general, and the Nordics are all supposed to have them anyway apparently so points!

Warm without being fluffy. I like it.

Very matter of fact and I laughed.
