Went to see Atonement last night at PJ Cinemas.
(PJ Cinemas = family-owned movie theater in Port Jefferson that tends to hang onto smaller pictures.  Today, for example, they got in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, which I'll definitely be seeing sometime this week.)

I felt the same way after seeing it. The last 8-10 minutes of that film I do believe my little mouth was hanging open. It was shocking and beautiful and sad all at the same time. I too bought the book but have yet to read it I think I need to prepare myself a bit for it. We can have a book discussion when we're through

YES! There's no book discussion group quite like one with Pants!
The ending definitely was all that -- shocking, beautiful, sad... and also "all that," too. Really, really well done.

I miss you too!
One of the best parts about being a S-T-E-P-H-I-E has to be the ability to express excitement by yelling "AHHHHH BANANA!" Because, oh, you so yelled that after you typing it. Right? Right? Right!
