I finally got around to seeing "Casion Royale" last night. I thought it was a really good movie, but I have to say it didn't feel like a Bond movie. Having said that, I think that the whole point of the movie was to make everything about the franchise darker and more gritty. I'll agree with you about it not really feeling like a Bond film in some ways, and that Craig's version of 007 *does* seem to be very close to becoming a villain himself sometimes. From what I've seen so far, that theme's going to be explored even further in "Quantum," although Craig has promised that more tradtional Bond films will be released in the future.

btw, what's your favorite Bond film?

In a way I think it's a good thing, since there's no real point in rebooting the franchise if you don't try some new approaches. I just think it got too different. But then again, the final scene was very Bond =)

My favorite is probably "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", or possibly "Goldeneye". Though "Casino Royale" might be the best film of the bunch.

"Goldeneye" is AWESOME! I love Sean Bean in that movie. He's one of my favorite Bond villains.
