Ken Andrews is incredibly underrated and underappreciated

Life seems to make more sense right now. I don't know why, it just does.

I've been playing a lot of bass recently. Good times...

Also, I seem to have figured out the setlist for the radio show, and the final bit of lyrics are coming along nicely.

You're gonna laugh your ass off when you hear it. That's your more-than-a-hint.

You'll have to let me know the website so I can listen to it, yo. Should be good stuff.

I'm going to be working completely off my computer without any middle-to-high end equipment. Just the bare basics that a home PC offers out of the box for the most part. The program I'll probably end up using is Cool Edit Pro 2.0 since I've got a crack for it and can use it for free. Adobe Audition 1.5 would be alright but I can't get a crack for it but it's basically the same thing.

Got any other suggestions for the play at home version of this inevitable gong show?

CE2 is definitely it tinia_flab January 19 2005, 22:12:52 UTC
Although when you start stacking lots of vocals and guitars on top of one another it starts skipping like a bitch, even on high-RAM machines that can take the heat. You can adjust the buffers and the rate and everything, but it still skips, just in different places. Which is a fucking bitch when you've done a seven minute take and none of it matches up because of a split-second skip it made back at the 14 second mark. I hope the CE2 gremlins don't get to YOU, too. I've got the original CE cracked if that becomes a problem, I never ran into that with the first one ( ... )

The original CE may be the way to go since I've already found I have trouble with the skipping when it comes to recording just one track and one track alone. That and my computer isn't very good, so.

I've also decided that I might do some minor overdubbing. Though, I'd like to keep it to a minimum. Mostly, 'cause I can't sing. Nor, can I play lead worth shit. All the vocals will probably be played live with the guitar so I can keep them embedded in the background.

The last thing you want to hear is my voice mixed like Raine Maidas vocals are these days.

Cheers.
Mike
