It's amazing how quickly a great day can turn shitty, or how a waste of a day of your life can turn into something you'll always remember. I hate living days that I'll never remember for anything, but today is one I'll most certainly feel 30 years from now was officially "lived", and for no special reason for anyone other than myself and maybe the ( Read more... )

I bought two of those because of you, and they're the two you commented on, so yay. I wanted to be able to talk about Stranger Than Fiction because I'm desperately looking for a Chuck book that doesn't suck. But you're right, the wrestling essay sucked, and the first essay sucked, but the You Are Here essay about lives being lived for screenplays and books was fucking amazing. When he's not trying to tell a boring story, he's got a brilliant mind.

And I knew you'd read A Million Little Pieces and figured I'd read it and see what the hullabaloo was about, and see what you liked about it. I think it's funny, too, because the You Are Here essay was pretty much like, "James Frey is a fucking idiot" without mentioning him once, or even hinting at him.

Still Life will be next, I'm reading that one with Cameron and it'll be interesting. You and I should pick a book to read together sometime soon and talk about: Bret Easton Ellis has a lot of good ones, I hear, if you haven't read his stuff yet. Although I suspect you have.

right now i'm reading 'the lovely bones' im not that far into it yet so i dont have much of an opinion. i bought hey nostradamus by douglas coupland but i think im gonna save it for my flight to the other side of the world.

i have read some of of ellis' books. only american psycho and another one i can't think of the name of. i just sold it on amazon to make money though.

ill have to borrow some of my friends books soon or go to the library cause i'm too poor. shes in love with bukowski so i might read one of his or whatever other ones i never had the chance to read for class in college.
