Ow! Ow, ow, ow!
That last line is a killer.
I really loved their relationship and Merlin's unobtrusive care that broke through Arthur's guard, but I say again, "Ow!"
Thank goodness this is the first part of a series, because I really, really want them to meet again. What a cliffhanger to end on.
