so, the fact that dave isnt here, it working out rather well. its not that i dont think about him, or talk about him to our friends, but it hasnt been as hard bc he isnt here. as soon as he gets back, i know it will be bad again, but maybe this wont be as devistating as i thought

Good for you! Smiling is good for the soul, and by the time he gets back, you'll have a little bit more in the way of emotional defenses built up, right?

I figured that a long distance relationship ending would be easier than if I were dating someone I had seen all the time anyway, but he keeps calling and texting me. He was very concerned with being friends, so the DAY AFTER we decided to not see each other anymore (aka he found a skanky girl in Vermont that it's IMPOSSIBLE to date) he calls me as usual. Got a text during the week telling me that he got me a Pretenders pin, sends me pictures of ducks crossing the street cause they are cute, texts me about the baby and the puppy that were playing on the bus....he doesn't understand the concept of breaking up and becoming friends over time or that I might need time, apparently...
