Awww David's having a pity party feeling sorry for himself which he is kinda entitled to but I'm glad Emily was still there to look after him and stop him from wallowing in it even if he does feel like shit which anyone would after the alchol he replaced his blood with ;-) loving this story I am really looking forward to what the muse hits you with next ;-)

I'm glad you liked it! I wish I could say it would be his last pity party, but, we both know he throws a few in the claire saga. His year is ALMOST up. Then, the fun begins. The muse hits me often, but, it hits me out of order. So, I have updates that are way far along. It makes no sense to me. ;)

thanks so much. that means a lot because it's SO HARD to capture personalities that we don't know much about, you know? Especially Emily. She is so private and we don't really know much personal stuff about her other than the obvious vegan stuff.

DE fic has kind of become something rare around these parts lately, for understandable reasons, but I'm glad to see you still carrying on with this.

In some ways he does have reasons to sort of throw his own pity party and he's right. Emily doesn't have to be there for him. But she knows that she wants to, for whatever reason, and TBH it makes me wonder if she's ever had to clean anything up for him IRL. Hmm.

Anyway, great job as always! :)

yeah, I think demily has been sparse for awhile. But, I'm still continuing. I have to. Just b/c she off and married the other David doesn't mean my motivation ends ;)

I do wonder about real life. Even if nothing ever happened with them, it's obvious they are close and have the type of relationship that others don't understand. I bet there has been instances where she's had to cover for him. Just look how she supported him over the spring in NYC for the upfronts? She looked like she was his rock. It's really great to know that they are there for each other, even though it's probably complicated as hell.
