What's your dream Tin Man series?

 I'm sure there's a lot of excitement about the possibility of having an on-going Tin Man series.  But what form would you want it to take?  Picking up right after the mini left off?  Set before the mini began?  All the same cast and character focus? I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a little glimpse into what happened before the events in the mini-series.

But what I really want is for the SciFi Channel not to muck it up like they do everything else they touch.

Honestly, I'd love to see it take an action-adventure arc. The death of Elphaba and Nessarose (pardon my Maguire) didn't end Oz's troubles, and left a lot of little fires burning. The second book has an attempted coup by Jinjur, for example. The Nome King attacked a couple times. There were also powerful sorcerers like Mombi and Coo-eh-oh who threatened the peace. Plenty of adventures left for Dorothy, Scarecrow, Nick and Lion (or Brrr, if you lean Maguire) after that first book, and since the Baum stuff's public domain, they've got a goldmine.

So, just as the Heroes of Oz had to clean up a lot of messes and restore peace to an embattled Oz, the Heroes of the Eclipse could find themselves walking the same path. Becoming Princess of Oz didn't slow Dorothy down much, and I can't imagine DG being much different. In fact, DG is much more aggressive and has more motivation to get her hands dirty in the clean-up.

Of course, a total dream would be, for sweeps, to see if they could con Maguire into writing up an episode!

That would be fantastic! Might be a pipe dream at this point, as we're not even sure there will be a series, but I don't thing that they could go wrong with asking Maguire to write an episode. I'd really love to see what he would do with it, and if he would incorporate any of his own story of Oz into it.

The biggest disadvantage to graveshift; you're awake when everyone else is asleep, and asleep when everyone else is awake. The good news is that there's a couple of slow hours to read or write. I'm hoping the IT department (who monitors the mail) doesn't mind Star Wars or Oz...

Personally though, I'd like Zero to show up somewhere, even (or especially, I'm not sure) if it's weeping and blithering his way through it. I need more Callum watchable from this side of the Pond.

As long as it's done well, I'll take whatever they want to give us. However, I don't have much faith in the writers. So far, negotiation is between the producers and the network. If they can get better writers than they had for the miniseries, then I say go for it and let imagination abound.

Ideally, I want to see post-series with lots of flash backs to the back story. That would be awesome. And I want to see a lot of Cain/Adora back story. I can do without seeing any back story for Ahamo and the Queen. I can even do without seeing any pairings at all in the future time line. Gen is easier to sell, anyway. *shrug*

I agree with the need for new writers. As much as I love Tin Man the more I watch it the more plot holes I seem to find.

Haha. The plot holes were always obvious to me. They just managed to win me over somehow. Maybe it was Neal's ass. Yep...yep...that must have been it lol
