Serious Hat Day

Jul 10, 2009 09:12

You've heard of casual Fridays, right? Well, not in this fandom. I do hereby declare it to be Serious Business Friday.

Present your serious business in an orderly fashion. >:(

Apparently we are poking the nittier plotholes. Exccccellent.

srs bzns, fandom customs that need to die, canon is stoopid

*puts on most serious face*

I am curious about this yellow ribbon that always seems to be popping up in Cain's vest pocket.

I know I'm a little OCD when it comes to details, but I really must've missed something.

Anyone?

Oddly I have never ever seen this trope in fanfic. Or if I have I don't remember it. And for me to not remember it... well.

I like the idea though. *pause* Until I remembered that he wasn't wearing the vest in the suit. Also who the hell got together all of his tin manish accoutrements and hid them in a box under the cabin/where DID those tight pants come from?

And do not get me started on the coat and hat. EDIT: and how did he know about the box under the cabin and and and *brainplosion*

I have a theory about the box under the house, actually... and the hat... but where he found the hat and the coat, I don't know...

..and, by box, I mean the badge, the horse and the gun..

I guess it's a good thing I am stuck in 'little old lady land' for three days to write...

*sigh*

I thought the crack about the personal assistant holding on to the hat and coat for all that time was in the parody, but apparently it was in someone's recap. I blame Effie.

And yes, that box. I mean wtf.

*goes back to pondering "Given Half the Chance"*

What's the deal with Lonot?

First off, "most loyal friend" my ass. Secondly, why'd the Witch hang on to him? I mean, I can see using him short-term to stick it to her mom and shore up her power base, but she KNOWS he's capable of being a turncoat. Best to dispose of him and put one of her proper flunkies in his place.

Or maybe I'm shoving too much "they were loising the war anyway/he's not that competent" headcanon into this. Hrm.

Maybe he's got a relative in the cabinet and was never really all that, in terms of a military mind...

I will have to think about this a little and not flash to him in Supernatural

Maybe he was promised the position if he betrayed the Queen. *shrugs*

I haven't really given him much thought actually, besides what I have as my canon.

I'm blaming Erin for my sudden fascination. I can say no more.

:| <-Serious face

Has anyone actually gone through and counted the days they're there? B/c personally, I think they were running around for more than seven days.... though I haven't ACTUALLY proved it

I should attempt this. Good reason for a rewatch/reobsess!

I always figured the days are longer in the OZ...

Other than that, I've got nothing.

I'm with you there. I just got my internet to work again but I think I'm coming down with a cold. So I'll just grab another cup of coffee and attempt to think. :D
