The queen does not, it took everything she had to bring DG back from the dead and technically she shouldn't have been able to do that. Az does, although due to emotional trauma she can't access it, but that's all psychosomatic. And that's not just because I adore psychosomatic problems in my characters. (Some people like angst, some people like to torture them, I like 'em to torture themselves. <3)

2. Do all Gales have the same magic? Or do they each specialize in certain kinds?I think they all have the ability to do magic, but that's like how a mother/father and daughter/son could both be skilled at music. It does not mean they're going to be good in the same ways. I like to think that the Queen was good at everything, because I like to believe she was of super speshul mary sue level powers. But Az on the other hand specialized in defensive magics. The Mystic Man? He specializes in both soothsaying (he'll argue that this is different from telling the future ( ... )

8. What is your personal fanon for Ahamo?

Is there some specfic thing you had in mind? I like to think he's a charlatan carny from Omaha and kind of a hippie too. He was a bit...uhm...out of it, had the BRILLIANT idea to hop into his balloon to go for tacos, or whatever one got in the 70s when they had the munchies, and found himself in the OZ. I think the OZ picked him to come specifically because he was needed, the queen was too hellbent on ruling and being perfect and she needed someone to teach her to laugh and be silly. And I don't know why but now I've got a scene of them having sex on a canvas with lots of paint. I think that would be an epic story there. *nods* And voila Az is conceived (Azkadelia, in the language of the ancients, means 'Work of Art'.)

9. What happened to the Queen's parents? At what age did she become Queen?They died and she took the throne at 16 which was not unheard of, but unusual. It's why she was working herself to death trying to be perfect, to prove she could do it better even though she ( ... )

Queen: Little to none. Az - oh yah, buddy!

So far......they have the same - which covers about every area...

3. Is there a way for the Queen to unlock the rest of DG’s memories or are they mostly lost forever?

They're slowly getting unlocked over time.

4. Does DG dive head first into being a princess only to melt down later or does she attempt to pace herself?

She was blabbing about not wanting to take other people's orders, so I'd say there's some diving with a side of pacing b/c the OZ is still slightly new with the different customs and such...

5. Does Ahamo have a job in Court?I have stolen the ever popular manly-man's position that lots of other have used in the past: something about organizing the military. Ironically it's very vague which appeases my habit of not making lots of solid decisions *raises image of myself perched on a ( ... )

New questions! Yay. I'm getting into this.

Az yes, although at first she's reluctant to use it for anything other than the most mundane things because she thinks it's (and for that matter, she's)been corrupted by the witch.

The Queen, no. More than that: she gave up not only her own magic but her own life force to save DG (it's HARD to bring back the dead). She was literally on her last legs when Az's coup succeeded, and it was sheer willpower that kept her going. If she hadn't been kept in the terrarium for the last decade, she'd be long dead. When she gets out, she knows she doesn't have much time, and so she leans hard on DG and Az to get their lives in order.

* Do all Gales have the same magic? Or do they each specialize in certain kinds?To be honest, I'm not sure what the heck kind of magic they have at all. Spinning dolls? Burying and restoring castles? Making light? It doesn't seem to come together as a coherent whole to me. Possession and soul-sucking, though, ( ... )
