I've never touched MacGuire. I might have my Daddy order me the books for Christmas, but meh.
I always figured they celebrated some sort of "Winter's Day" in the O.Z., but didn't put too much thought into it. I've often thought we should all amass our fictional holidays from the O.Z. Farine's Night, hee!
I only read Wicked the one time. The second book, and the Lion book are collectiong dust. clearly, I'm not reading ANYTHING these days. *sigh*
I can't say I recall the Lurlimas-bit of the story... but it was a while ago.
Personally, I love the general idea that they were friends and that Elphie is the "good guy", but there are parts of the book that just irk the HELL out of me.
DVR is set and I shall be in front of the TV. For it is Alice.
Also, I was looking at the character bios last night and, CLEARLY, Nick and the boys have a one-track mind, as Dodo (aka Tim Curry aka GOD #2) is the leader of the Resistance against the Queen.
Ah later this weekend… Competing against… against… what? Football? H'mm, genius. Have they been advertising the hell out of it on their own channel? I don't watch it, so I'm not really sure… Just curious… and this place is full of Tin Man fic full of information!
I'm taking a ridiculously long time to read 'Wicked'. I did incorporate Lurlimas and some other holidays into my stories. There's the Quadling version of the 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Shavuot (which in my story, commemorates the return of Ozma to the throne).
As far as Alice goes, I haven't decided if I'm going to watch. I was never a big of fan of Alice in Wonderland to begin with.
Love to the hat. That's all from me for now. Mostly because I always forget anything I may have meant to say here due to lack of sleep or whatever else.

Oh, as in, forgot. Solstice and stuff. How would something like that work in the O.Z., if Yuletide was based on something like that?

Not that I'll be parked in front of a telly or anything… But I'll keep my eyes out. So I'm willing to say "Yes" to Alice. Because crossovers happen.

Crack of Doom. Sometimes not that far, depending…

I feel like I should have jumped into the fandom ahead of time (assuming there is one)... but, we'll see.
I imagine there'll be at least one fic out of Steve. Because Tim Curry demands it. *nod*

Feh, I couldn't make it through the book. Perhaps if I were wired to dangerous levels by caffeine...
