This holiday was better than some others past, even though I've since lost some people. New years is also one of those times that you can feel whatever awaits you, but also those lonesome feelings creep up from the back of your mind (or is it your heart?) Instead I held a New Year's get together with a few people at my place. All the faces there were familiar to me, most were dear to me, yet somehow they all felt distant. I think it's something about the holiday.
