So, my Boosh obsession has reached new heights. I've made a shirt!
Thanks to this strange fabric pen i picked up in the Art Store in Glasgow (you draw on to cling film, peel it off and iron over it on zee shirt) it looks semi-professional. Only semi, mind. I fudged it up near the mouth. I also had plans to put 'Come with us now on a journey through time and SPACE!' on the back but the single letters were just too fiddly. Next time, paint words in blocks, methinks. Let's just hope the image can cope with the power which is the washing machine.
I really need to get tickets to one of their live shows to flaunt that baby around.
Tuesday saw me receiving one of our new briefs. It's meant to be a group project but we don't know our groups yet as they are yet to be chosen at random. Please, please let me have a kickass co-operative group like last time...and not a bunch of whining slackers.
Today we were meant to have our other solo brief given but it didn't exactly happen. Maybe because Paul was away and Malcolm took charge. Cue a pointless hour lecture consisting of quotes from his favourite animators (as insightful as they were, it just started to sound very samey) mixed with extracts from his life story and clips from his showreel that we've already seen. Oh yes, and a random project given to us for the hell of it. It's okay Malcolm, it's not like i'll have much work to do in the next three bloody weeks (!). He'll expect it in 2D no doubt, which is not what i want to focus on either.
Roooight. Enough bitching. I really want to be working now. Maybe i'll go work on my pirate for a bit with a cup of tea..
P.S I've updated my website with (most) of my uni animations so far, if anyone cares!
