Spike TV series that shows demonstrations of different warriors weapons, and put them in a simulation at the end of the show using the data gathered in the demonstrations to see who would win
This is a cool show. I don't place too much weight on the veracity of these kinds of tests because I think there's just way too many variables to consider and some things just don't break down to simple numbers. In any case, I'm also surprised that the Apache took it home in this one, I would have thought the Gladiator's armor and more modern, specialized weapons would have given them the edge. However, I'm sure the Apaches make it up with the bow and arrow... It's almost like cheating. Whereas gladiators where meant to fight in-close for show, the apache has no problem shooting an arrow and boom - dead - fight's over.
seriously, I don't see SoA being on until summer, and 1k ways to die is always delightfully entertaining. As for the Spartan v. ninja, who knows? I try not to take 300 as evidence, but I have some doubts ninjas may win, but not many.
