Nothing out of the ordinary.

I found some Girl Scout flavored icecream at the grocery. Saving it for you.

Yeah, I know. But it's not like I've done anything to warrant it. No rock concerts or playing with jackhammers, I promise.

Yeah really. I have a sneaking suspicion it might be thin-mint flavored?

Huh. Fighting noise with more noise? That's something I wouldn't have thought of.

Thanks, I'll try it.

Yeah, I think I'll be okay.

I don't know how to approach this, but How are things?

I don't believe you. Like they always are, really. What about you?

The usual. Work.

[Private to Michael]

What're you doing? I mean, hanging out on the compendiums isn't exactly how I like to spend my Saturday nights.

Knowing you appreciate it is thank you enough, Charles. That was the intent, as I ultimately couldn't justify keeping the dusty old thing around, etcetera.

But I suppose young Master Watts told you a much better way to deal with the ringing. I... hope it certainly doesn't persist, because the old hag in me is quite sure that can't bode well for your person.

Well, I ... just wanted to say thank you. Again. She's beautifu It's in a safe place now.

If there's anything you need, anything, just let me know.

Old hag? That's debatable. I'm sure it'll go away soon. I hope.

When I need a whole suckling pig roasted in a pit in my back yard, Charlie, you'll be the first man I call to help me preparing.

That being said, I hope it goes away soon, too. When Roger was losing his hearing, it was miserable watching him deal with that. [A pause, some pen scribbling ensues, presumably from the ballpoint going dry.]

You haven't been doing anything to jeopardize your hearing at such a young age, Charles -- right?!

What? So you'll roast a pig but you won't fix deep-fried turkey?

I'm not losing my hearing. No, I promise I haven't, Georgia. I always have safety in mind when operating jackhammers, setting off fireworks, etc.

Yeah. I'm okay. I think I just need to get out of here.

[Private to Jonathan]

Michael and I are thinking about heading out for some drinks or something. I understand if you got something planned with the family, but it's an open invitation.

I could really use a drink tonight, actually. Let me check with Lexi, but I don't think it should be a problem. Kids are in bed, anyway.

Great. It's been one of those weeks, I guess.
