I just hope they don't expect me to send a gift down for the shower. Buying toys for eight and ten year old boys are one thing - I can handle remote

It isn't that hard to come up with a shower gift: baby toys. You don't have to worry about dolls and frilly gowns until she's at least 3 or 4. Maybe you'll luck out and she'll turn out a tomboy.

That might not be too far off, though. If it does, there might have to be a new rhyme entitled The Brother of the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe Bought All of the Children Gift Certificates and Said 'Be Done With It!, and that hardly rolls off the tongue.

That's a good idea. My experience with expectant mothers is about as vast as my experience with little girls, though.
