-my bike came in yesterday. four months to the day of the accident exactly. kind of creepy. but it's a beaut. it will take a week to put the front brake on...which is cool since there is a winter-weather advisory in a few days

It's like they (the Bush admin. and others) have a one-track mind. Of course I'm anti-war/anti-violence hands down, but I do understand that we just have a militant society, and so do many other places globally. That's a whole 'nother issue. But Africa? I have not heard of an African War, or any belligerence from them at all. They need water, they need medical supplies, they need FOOD, shelter, money, a cure for AIDS. They don't need soldiers, unless this military plans on getting all of the necessities that Africa lacks. I am also disappointed and confused. They're planting all of the wrong seeds, in my opinion. Yet again, good for America for trying to help, but violence is not going to feed those starving children and heal those sick people. The United States has the resources to save Africa, I just wish they'd be used properly.
