Conference Finals!

The Lakers had a nineteen point lead but somehow the Jazz had managed to cut it down to two. Whoa, this was one interesting game. My sister and I were under our breaths until the clock was at 0.0 After that, we were crazily jumping up and down, dancing, laughing and (somewhat) screaming all at the same time ( Read more... )

the jazz fans are so classless, and sometimes i wonder if they have any basketball knowledge because they complained on every single call against them. and then, throwing things at the laker bench near the end of the game? WHAT THE HELL. bunch of beeyotches. so glad we silenced them. the jazz team, however, i like. they are very old school and conduct themselves (mostly) in a classy manner (unlike their fans). and i especially like boozer, for some unknown reason.

BUT MY GOD. DO THE LAKERS ALWAYS HAVE TO DO THINGS THE HARD WAY? i thought we were gonna lose it there for a little bit. thank goodness kobe, lamar and fish made the free throws down the stretch. but other than the last few minutes, we were absolutely outstanding the entire game. from tip off and on. and utah, should not have been able to come back. but sigh. the lakers... they always want to have their fans on the edge.

BRING ON THE CONFERENCE FINALSSSSSSSSSS!

I like the jazz players too. normally, when the Lakers go up against a team, I automatically hate someone from that team. But this time was different. there wasn't any feeling of dislike for any of them. although kirilenko was a bit close, esp. when he kept knocking down threes during the last minutes of today's game

they always want to have their fans on the edge.
--yeah they always do that. I don't know if I should be angry/happy about it. angry 'cause they bring unnecessary stress to my life / happy because after all the tension, they'd still win it.

I read your post and I kept on laughing at this: not too impressed with our bench (jordan, luke, i'm looking at you two).
--hear hear! :))

Sa Western conf. finals pa lang. Pero, achievement un kasi last time nila nakapasok dun was 4 years ago.

Honestly torn ako kung sino gusto ko makalaban ng lakers. pero kung spurs, GINOBILI! :)

Kung ako lang ang tatanungin, I'd go for either the Hornets or the Spurs. The Hornets, because I'd love Chris Paul to be in the West Finals (and bandwagoner rin ako nila hehe, and I sooo want them to beat the Spurs), and the Spurs, just so the Lakers can show the world that they are indeed, the better team. That they are not just Kobe. With all respect to the Hornets, though their playoff run has nothing been short of amazing, beating the Spurs, one of the ultimate "team" teams of the generation (aside from the Pistons of course, hehe) will certainly be a hallmark of theirs this season.

Looking forward to the Finals, it will be a gift for that Stern if it's the Lakers going to the Finals. Either the Pistons or the Celtics will give them a good run for their money. I doubt Cleveland could, although with LeBron anything could happen. Also, either Detroit or Boston is a classic, post-80s showdown (or in the case of Detroit, a chance for revenge. Remember '04?)

May the best team win :D

yes naman better team ang lakers. dahil sinabi mo un, hindi ko aasarin detroit. pero, GRABE ASTIG SI TAYSHAUN NUNG LAST GAME NILA VS ORLANDO! His block reminded me of the Reggie Miller block. Astig!

I dislike the Celtics. bow. :))

(or in the case of Detroit, a chance for revenge. Remember '04?)
--no need to remind me. magaling naman talaga lakers nun eh, dream team as in! panira lang si shaq! asar. HAHA.

Pistons' MVP ng second round si Prince, baybeh. Haha, tatlong trademark plays! First yung block nya kay Maurice Evans, second yung game winner over Dwight Howard, and yung block kay Hedo. Oh yeaaaaah DEEE-TROIT BASKETBALL. Pero kung, KUNG, Pistons ang mag-champions (you bristle at the notion, I know :P), that block of Turkoglu will certainly look more impressive than the one on good ol' Reggie. Hehe.

If the Pistons steal a game on the Boston Garden...errr, TD Banknorth whatever, the Celts are done. Road kill. If they are the champs, they're flukes. XD Haha galit.

Spurs vs. Lakers: Here's hoping Kobe will make the Spurs and Bruce Bowen look old. HAHAHA. Tony Parker will dust off the old legs of Fisher. But then, I hope Mamba contains Ginobili. Sya yung killer eh. Pero if the Lakers' bench don't appear soon enough (*ahem* Farmar *ahem*), it will be tough, tough for them.

oh yeah go tayshaun! Super natatak sa utak ko ung block vs miller kasi out of nowhere biglang sumulpot si tayshaun. aww poor hedo. forever ng nakatatak ung blocked shot na un. um okay word of the day ko ung natatak :))

Because you mentioned the name of Bruce Bowen, I'm thinking that it's better for the Lakers to go against new orleans. I'm kind of worried kasi Bowen knows how to guard Kobe. And that ain't isn't good.

As to Farmar, I think the reason why his presence wasn't felt that much in this series is that Deron Williams kind of owned him real good. But that should challenge Jordan to do better in the next series.
