                Having two of my tabletop rpgs ‘roll over’ into new games at the same time has gotten me to think quite a bit about the environment in which I’m running them.  This has prompted some thoughts on the physical location, furniture, times and days, and now about the presumptions we bring to the table.

Tim I see this a lot as well. Though with my group, it's still pretty easy to get a character background out of them. Usually it’s one page or more

I think some of it may be what Scott brings up with lifestyle changes. I know that, even though I'm not as busy as most people, gaming takes a lower priority to the point that you won't see me write BG novellas anymore
