Author? That made me smile. I never thought of that word applying to me before. I'm usually a reader, but that year I got hooked by an image prompt in the Hallowe'en challenge. I don't know whether you got it with the words - it was a really great manip, in creepy greeny tones. It was very vivid and jumped off the screen.

Everyone is different, but I think it would probably be okay to read The Third Alternative even while in a low mood. ([Spoiler (click to open)]It's a not-really-dead story.)
