I live in a town on a road that has street-only parking. I have a car. I have to park it on the street. There is nowhere off-road for me to park. I don't own/rent a smidgeon of outside land, not even a garden

No, adam just says if I think this is noisy, I should try living in a city :D

But I say, it's a whole lot noisier here than outside his mothers house where the only noise at night is the occasional car parking outside, and seagulls. But then his mother doesn't live in a city either :p

I'm just used to living in the isolated countryside with no neighbours and although there is a busy road, it isn't bumpy, and it doesn't have traffic control so there is only cars passing. And birdies and stuff. :)

I like birdies. Last year there were some swifts nesting outside our bathroom and they were noisy ( :D ) but nice. And lately there has been a blackbird singing there when I am getting up for work, so hopefully it will nest there.

I will have to try to take a picture. :)
