It's been a while since I did one of these posts (or it feels like it) (which is just criminal I am loving some stages)
Having watched several amazing live stages from WJSN I wanted a genre change, something completely different and so that led to BlackPink who have less stages but plenty of talent.
Click to viewHere is the playlist I watched, it's not a perfect playlist (there were some repeat perfomances and once it hit the 4th or 5th time of watching it I get a little restless) but it was good fun and there were stages I hadn't seen before.
There were some beautiful stages (both in terms of performance but also layout of stage, choreography, music and so on) within this mix and honestly they were good fun. I can see why BlackPink have been so successful, they are truly performers and they are good at it.
Overall the vocals were good they've improved with confidence over their year which is wonderful to see. The same with their stage presence, they have come a long way in terms of this. YG has done well with making sure they have shows and stages that will pull people in, both vocally and visually. Honestly it's been well done and the songs are catchy, the girls are beautiful, the choreography catchy and different.
It's been a treat to watch (even if some of the outfits are slightly weird, I'm sorry but they are) and honestly I look forward to following these young ladies as their careers progress.
